We may recommend anything from devices to assist with traction on the feet all the way to orthotics, prostheses and carts! If you are seeking such a device, please know it is our priority to first ensure that what we prescribe is appropriate for your pet and then to get these fitted and your pet mobile as quickly as possible.
Depending on the device, extensive measurements, photos, videos or even a cast molding of your pet’s leg may be required. For this reason, we may not be able to accommodate ordering a device at your first visit. If such a device is desired, please let us know! For our part, we will recommend any device that is medically warranted and outline the steps in detail at your visit.
For cast moldings, we will likely recommend that your pet return on an oral sedative to facilitate the mold, but we can often do some early recon at the first visit to help us consult with your orthotic team!
